Today I recognise the Zen Tea Lounge Foundation, an organisation deeply committed to supporting women and children victims of domestic violence. Its efforts have transformed the lives of thousands of people, including those in my electorate. On 26 July 2024 I had the privilege of representing the  Minister for Multiculturalism and attending the annual Solidarity Against Family Violence fundraising night organised by Zen Tea Lounge Foundation at our local Cabra‑Vale Diggers Club. The event was profoundly moving, illuminated by a candlelit vigil paying tribute to the victims of domestic violence last year. Heartfelt stories shared by domestic violence survivors and inspiring ideas for tackling the issue were highlights of the evening. I also had the honour of presenting the Zen Tea Lounge Foundation's awards to recognise community members who have made an outstanding impact on combating domestic violence.
