On 29 August I joined my friends and colleagues at Marconi Stadium for the round of 16 clash between Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Adelaide United FC. It was a great pleasure to be with a number of local soccer fans, including Guy Zangari, former member for Fairfield, the member for Liverpool, and constituents and fans from across New South Wales. The Western Sydney Wanderers FC's journey to the quarter finals of the Australia Cup was nothing short of thrilling. The outcome was simply remarkable—a resounding 5-1 victory for Western Sydney Wanderers FC. As passionate fans, we were fortunate to witness the thrilling match firsthand in the comfort of our local soccer field, Marconi Stadium, in Bossley Park. The excitement was intense, and it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. I thank the organising committee and Club Marconi for hosting and planning the outstanding event.
