On 12 October 2024 I had the honour of attending the twenty‑third presidential inauguration ceremony of the Timor Chinese Association of NSW. The event not only celebrated a significant transition in leadership but also highlighted the strong community spirit that defines the association. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing president, Mr Tony Von, and his dedicated team for their outstanding contributions over the past two terms. Their hard work and commitment have laid a solid foundation for the association's future. I also congratulate Mr William Leong, his executive committee and the advisory committee on their recent election. It is inspiring to see such enthusiastic individuals stepping forward to serve our community. As they embark on this new journey, I wish them all the success in their endeavours. Together, we can continue to strengthen our community ties and enhance the lives of those we serve in our local area.
