Teresa Miceli, born in 1972 in Bankstown to Italian immigrant parents, has been a dedicated member of my community for over 37 years. She began her education at Condell Park Public School in 1978 and later moved to St Johns Park Public School in 1981, before attending St John's Park High School in 1985. During her high school years, Teresa started working part-time at Taylors Pharmacy in Cabramatta, where she has remained ever since. Over the years, Teresa has witnessed significant changes in Cabramatta, transitioning from a predominantly European community to a more Asian community. As a Pharmacy Assistant, Teresa has played a crucial role in assisting customers who speak little or no English, often translating in Italian to help them understand how to use their medication and offering health advice. She is deeply proud of her long-standing career, having worked with three wonderful bosses, and enjoys the relationships she has built with her diverse clientele. She has learnt about different cultural backgrounds and enjoys connecting with her customers by speaking a few words in Vietnamese or Chinese. Teresa is particularly proud of her ability to work and serve her local community.
