Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting SummitCare Canley Vale in my electorate. In 2023, I had the opportunity to visit during the celebration of Christmas in July, and last year in 2024, it was Christmas in December. Both occasions provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with the residents and staff, sharing in the joy of the season. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at SummitCare for their warm and welcoming reception. It's always a pleasure to see the strong sense of community within the facility, and the event truly highlighted the importance of connection and celebration. A special thank you goes to Peter Nguyen and the talented lion dance team for their hard work in organizing and bringing this unique cultural performance to life. Their efforts made the event even more memorable. It's occasions like these that remind us of the value of community spirit and the importance of coming together to celebrate the people who make our neighbourhoods so special. I'm grateful for the opportunity to join in the festivities and look forward to attending future events at SummitCare Canley Vale.
