On 23 December 2023, I had the honour of participating in the Unveiling Ceremony of the Statue of the Virgin Mary at St. Mary's Assumption Chaldean Parish in Fairfield. The ceremony was led by His Grace Mar Amel Nona, the Archbishop of the Chaldean Catholic Church of Australia and New Zealand. It was a profoundly moving experience to witness this significant event, a testament to the deep spiritual and cultural significance of the Virgin Mary in the Chaldean community. His Grace Mar Amel Nona's leadership added a sacred touch to the ceremony, underscoring the reverence and devotion felt by the community. I thank Mr Samir Youssef for the kind invitation. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful occasion that fosters unity and spiritual connection within our local community.
