On 9 August 2024 I had the pleasure of attending the thirty‑sixth Serbian festival gala night at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club. The evening was a splendid celebration of Serbian culture and tradition, officially opened by His Eminence Archbishop Siluan. The event showcased the rich heritage and vibrant community spirit of the Serbian people. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr John Pavasovic and Mr Michael Andjelkovic for their kind invitations. Their efforts in organising such a memorable gala are greatly appreciated. The festival provided a wonderful opportunity to experience Serbian music, dance and cuisine, creating an atmosphere of joy and cultural pride. The gala night was a testament to the strength and unity of the Serbian community. It was an honour to be part of such a special occasion. I look forward to attending many more events in the future, celebrating the diverse cultural tapestry that enriches our community.
