On Saturday 20 May I had the pleasure of attending the Police and Community Expo organised by the Fairfield City Police Area Command. Every year, this event gives the command the opportunity to strengthen its connection with the community. Officers from various units of the NSW Police Force were present and actively engaged with attendees to foster closer ties. Local emergency service providers, educators and career organisations were also present at the event and did a great job in raising awareness of the support services available in our area. I extend my congratulations to all the individuals involved in organising this fantastic community event. I thank Superintendent Michael McLean, APM, for extending the invitation to me. I look forward to working with him and the Fairfield City Police Area Command to keep our community safe.
