I would like to recognise Mrs Nouphanh Ditthavong for her contributions to my Cabramatta electorate. During the political turmoil in Laos, Mrs Ditthavong and her family arrived in Australia in the late 1970s, seeking refuge and a new beginning. Since her arrival, Mrs Ditthavong has been a dedicated advocate for protecting, promoting, and integrating Lao cultural heritage within Australia's vibrant multicultural society. Her lifelong commitment to the Lao community, alongside the contributions of her late husband, who served two terms as President of the Lao Community Advancement Co-Op NSW[LCAC] in the 1980s, has played a vital role in the establishment of a cohesive, integrated, and harmonious Lao community, enriching Australian multiculturalism. Mrs Ditthavong's tireless efforts in preserving Lao heritage and her work in fostering community unity are deeply valued. It is with great honour that I recognise Mrs Ditthavong for her exceptional contributions to the cultural diversity and harmony in my Cabramatta electorate.
