I recognise an admirable Cabramatta-born figure, Mr Ronnie Moore, Vice President of Cabra-Vale Diggers Club. Ronnie's grandfather served in the First World War and his father in the Second World War. His family, especially his mother, provided shelter for the first Vietnamese refugees in the 1970s, offering enormous assistance to female refugees. Ronnie's upbringing, intertwined with his family's traditions and the enduring bond with the respectable Cabramatta-based former Prime Minister the Hon. Gough Whitlam, has profoundly influenced his way of being. Ronnie is proud to be a Cabramatta man and proud to serve the people of Cabramatta. His dedication and tireless advocacy for Cabramatta has indeed helped the local area, made up of hardworking people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who have thrived on adversities to build Cabramatta into what it is today: a vibrant multicultural melting pot within our State. I am honoured and proud to have Ronnie among us. On behalf of my electorate, I thank Ronnie for his invaluable contribution to Cabramatta.
MR RONNIE MOORE, Cabra-Vale Diggers Club Vice President
