Mr Ngoc Minh Lu's journey, from escaping a communist regime as a refugee after the Vietnam War to advancing in an IT and chemical technology education and career in Germany and later Australia, is nothing short of inspiring. His dedication to continuous learning and resilience in overcoming challenges exemplifies remarkable determination. With his extensive IT expertise, Mr Lu is passionate about giving back to his community. In 1990 Mr Lu joined the Vietnamese Professionals Society, providing technical support in building computer networks for Vietnamese communities worldwide. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, he joined the Sydney Local Health District to support the community at a critical time. In 2023 Mr Lu joined the NSW Vietnamese Elderly Friendship Association [VEFA], where his IT services have been invaluable. His expertise and dedication have played a pivotal role in advancing VEFA's initiatives, notably expanding essential services such as English and computer classes.
