I recognise a distinguished member of my electorate, Mr George Humphries, the Treasurer of St Johns Park Bowling Club. Throughout his 16‑year tenure, George has played a significant role in advancing the club's community services and championing various initiatives that have profoundly impacted the lives of individuals and enriched our local community. Driven by his passion for lawn bowls, George places a strong focus on investing in bowls, members and facilities. His continuous commitment has been instrumental in providing financial support to local members, who proudly represent our community in competitions at State, national and international levels. Furthermore, George has worked tirelessly in order to increase the lawn bowls community by encouraging local residents from all walks of life to partake in and enjoy one of Australia's most loved sports. In acknowledging George's contributions, I extend my deepest thanks for the remarkable services George has provided and will continue to provide to our local community.
