On Sunday 28 May over 15,000 people gathered at Club Marconi in Bossley Park to celebrate Italian Republic Day. Club Marconi was host to a great day for my community, which was filled with festivities, including market stalls and food vendors that showcased the flavours of Italian cuisine. Attendees were also treated to a display of classic Italian cars, adding to the celebration of Italian history and culture. Club Marconi is a hub for the Italian community in my electorate and it was my pleasure to participate in this celebration of culture. I extend my thanks to Mr Morris Licata, President of Club Marconi; the board of directors of Club Marconi; and all those involved in the organisation of the event. Their efforts and dedication resulted in an outstanding celebration of Italian culture and history.
