On the 25 November 2023, I had the honour of attending the Family Day organised by the NSW Vietnamese Elderly Friendship Association. Every year we celebrate Father's Day, Mother's Day, Grandparent's Day, and this special event was to celebrate Family Day the basic unit of society. This event reminded us all of the importance of family, a place where we find security, support and importantly unconditional love. I thank the President of the NSW Vietnamese Elderly Friendship Association Mr Duong Van Chung and the Vice President Mr Tieu Hanh and all the Executive Members for the invitation and congratulate them on successfully organising a very important day. We also opened the space which will be used to teach English classes to their members. The modern computers and equipment in this space were purchased with the kind support of our local Cabra-Vale Diggers Club. I thank the President of Cabra-Vale Diggers Club Mr Walter Robinson, Vice President Mr Ronnie Moore and the General Manager Mr Michael Foulkes for their support of this event and of the organisation.
