On 27 September 2024 I had the privilege of attending a fundraising dinner organised by the Children's Festival Organisation for an upcoming children's festival. Children's festivals are multicultural celebrations dedicated to the youth in our community and serve as a platform to foster harmony and inclusion. The festivals are fun family days, filled with vibrant cultural festivities, performances, street food, outdoor games, competitions, and other fun and creative activities. They bring together children from all cultures, where they immerse themselves in our rich multicultural society. This year marks 26 years of the Children's Festival Organisation's remarkable journey. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the organisation on this significant milestone and achievement. Over the past 25 years the organisation has staged 40 children's festivals, attracting over a quarter of a million people from diverse cultural backgrounds across Greater Sydney. I extend my gratitude to founder Mr Thuat Nguyen, Dr Maria Tran and the organising committee for their kind invitation to the dinner and I wish them continued success.
