On 14 April 2024, I was fortunate to partake in the commemoration of the Chaldean Babylonian New Year 7,324 (AKITU) while also paying tribute to the remarkable achievements of HSC students and university graduates. I extend my sincerest appreciation to Mr. Sam Yousif and the Chaldean League Australia of NSW for extending their gracious invitation to me. Their dedication to preserving Chaldean heritage and fostering educational excellence within the community is truly commendable. The celebration provided a platform to honour the ancient traditions of the Chaldean Babylonian New Year, offering insights into its rich history and significance. Additionally, it was a joyous opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of HSC students and university graduates, applauding their academic accomplishments and future endeavours. The event served as a testament to the enduring spirit of the Chaldean community and the importance of cherishing cultural heritage while embracing academic success. Attending the Chaldean Babylonian New Year celebration was truly a wonderful experience, and I am grateful for the chance to be part of such a meaningful event.
