On 5 September I was delighted to attend the Multicultural Day celebration at Canley Vale Public School. It was evident that students had put in tremendous effort and dedication to make this day a success. Their performances were nothing short of outstanding, showcasing the rich diversity of cultures that make up our local community. The children's enthusiasm and talent shone through as they performed many poems, songs and dances from various cultures, including Vietnamese, Samoan and Chinese cultures. It was heartwarming to witness the students not only learning about and embracing their own cultural heritage but also appreciating and celebrating the cultural diversity of others around them. I extend my sincere gratitude to the school for the kind invitation to be a part of this wonderful event. I eagerly anticipate next year's Multicultural Day, where we can once again come together to celebrate the beauty of our multicultural community.
