On 5 December 2024, I had the privilege and honour of organising the Cabramatta Vietnamese Buddhist Community meeting with the Hon Chris Minns, Premier of NSW. With over 70% of the local Vietnamese population in my Electorate of Cabramatta identifying as Buddhist, this meeting was a wonderful opportunity to allow our local Vietnamese Buddhist community to showcase Buddhism's vital role in fostering a peaceful and harmonious society - one that I am proud to represent. It also provided the Premier with a unique insight into the spiritual and cultural traditions of our local Vietnamese Buddhist community. On this special occasion, I recognise and acknowledge the invaluable contributions this community has made to my Cabramatta electorate and look forward to continued collaboration. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to all participating temples and their representatives for their invaluable support of this initiative. My deepest appreciation to Phap Bao Pagoda for hosting, the Most Venerable Thich Bao Lac, Senior Venerable Thich Pho Huan, and Venerable Bhikkhuni Thich Nu Giac Anh for their guidance, and all volunteers for their dedication and hard work in making this event a great success.
