I recognise students, Principal Ben Kirkman and Ms Lorraine Greenhill from Cabramatta Public School for their efforts in advocating for improved safety for their school community. On 7 August 2024 they visited Parliament House to meet with the Hon. John Graham, Minister for Roads, and his staff to present their pedestrian safety report and petition. We were all impressed by the students' dedication and advocacy. Their proactive approach along with their leadership in addressing the ongoing safety issues at the intersection of Cabramatta Road East and Cumberland Street are truly commendable. We had a productive and collaborative dialogue with a shared goal of finding a viable solution for the safety of the school community, especially our students. I also had an opportunity to present certificates to the following students: Sarah Minkara, Raymond Tri, Hillary Lam, Jeffery Lam, Jaizelle Mesa, Chantla Pheng, Oscar Nguyen, Huy Lam, Nghi Vu and Rita Tang. I thank everyone for their genuine concern, participation and commitment.
