I had the great honour and privilege of hosting the Cabramatta Buddhist Community Premier's Reception in NSW Parliament House on 18 September 2025. Buddhism is the second‑largest religion in my Cabramatta electorate, with approximately 22,800 followers. The reception celebrated the significant influence of Buddhism on the harmonious social fabric of our community. At least Fourteen major Buddhist temples and organisations from diverse cultural backgrounds came together in a united, cross-cultural gathering in NSW Parliament House, the first of its kind in our Electorate's history. I extend my sincere appreciation to all who participated. Special thanks go to the spiritual leaders who offered prayers and blessings, and to Bhikkhuni Thich Nu Giac Anh and the dedicated volunteers from Phap Bao Pagoda for their kindness and the beautiful decorations. I also thank Premier Chris Minns for his continued support. Events like these remind us of the timeless Buddhist values of kindness, compassion, and interconnectedness, which guide and inspire peaceful coexistence and harmony in our multicultural society. May these values continue to guide and inspire us all.
