On 21 December 2024, I had the privilege of spending a Saturday before Christmas with the wonderful volunteers to give presents to the patients and staff at Braeside Hospital, a facility providing palliative and supportive care services to patients with progressive, life-limiting illnesses, helping them live as well as possible. It was a memorable Christmas celebration coordinated with Hammond Care. The warmth and care, accompanied by joyous music and carols, were incredibly uplifting for the patients and their families. This reminded me of how simple gestures of genuine care and music can bring immeasurable strength, happiness, and hope to people in the face of illness. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff for their dedication and hard work. A special thank you goes to Ms Sinilia Radivojevic and the incredible team of volunteers for organising this wonderful celebration. I would like to express my gratitude to musicians Victor and John for their beautiful performance. On this special occasion I also had the opportunity to wish John a very happy birthday and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season.
