I had the pleasure of celebrating Ban Bon Phuong's 30th Anniversary on the 26 October 2024. Ban Bon Phuong is a musical group composed of admirable elderly individuals that are deeply involved in community activities in my local Cabramatta area. They dedicate their time assisting our community through volunteering their time and talents, especially through their musical performances. They provide local elderly people especially Vietnamese refugees and immigrants with the appropriate help and assistance and especially entertainment to adjust to Australian society. They preserve Vietnamese culture and foster a sense of unity between those who have been displaced far from their native homeland. As a result of their efforts, they inspire many other members in the local community to follow in their footsteps and continue supporting the Vietnamese community in Australia and many others including Australian Veterans. I am grateful for their kind support over the two decades from the time I worked with the local community to now. I would like to personally thank Mr Thach Tan Van and all the members of the Ban Bon Phuong for their wonderful work over the last 30 years.
