On 11 May 2024 I was honoured to attend the grand opening of the office of the Assyrian National Council Australia in Fairfield. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the gracious invitation and commend the council on its significant milestone. During the event, I took the opportunity to convey my sincere congratulations to Mr Hermiz Shahen and Mr David David on their community's new office space. I also express my earnest wishes for their continued success in delivering essential services to the local community. Establishing the office represents a vital step forward in enhancing support and representation for the Assyrian community in Australia. I am confident that with the dedication and commitment of its members, the Assyrian National Council will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves. Once again, I extend my best wishes for its endeavours ahead, and I look forward to witnessing the positive impact it will undoubtedly make in Fairfield and beyond.
