Born in Auburn, NSW, in 1974, Adem Cetinay relocated to Bossley Park in 1980, where he has remained, except for a brief 5-year period in Fairfield West. Throughout the years, Bossley Park has been his steadfast home. For the past 15 years, Adem has held the role of public officer at the Bonnyrigg Turkish Cultural Association, a membership he has maintained since the mosque's inception in 1992. During his tenure, Adem has spearheaded numerous significant initiatives at the mosque, including the resurfacing of the car park, upgrades to electricity capacity, installation of air conditioning, implementation of an elevator, restoration of the building's heritage, construction of pergolas and awnings, installation of solar panels, and organization of festival events during Ramadan. Furthermore, amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Adem has demonstrated remarkable leadership by coordinating the distribution of food packs for the elderly, managing mosque operations to ensure safe congregation practices, orchestrating the Covid-19 vaccine program, and overseeing the renovation of the Imam's residence. His dedicated efforts have greatly contributed to the mosque's development and community support initiatives.
