I had the pleasure of attending the 64th Anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese Rangers of the Republic of Vietnam, held at Crystal Palace in Canley Heights on the 5th of July 2024. The Vietnamese Rangers played a crucial role in defending South Vietnam. Their valour continues to be remembered by veterans, their families, allies, and the Vietnamese refugee community. The anniversary serves as an occasion to preserve their history, heritage and culture. In addition to commemoration, the event was a vibrant multicultural celebration, featuring military music, songs, and especially a fashion parade showcasing traditional Vietnamese costumes "Áo Dài" and conical leaf hats "Nón Lá", blended with modern Australian fashion. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Mr Van Xem Huynh and the Executive Committee of the Veterans of the Vietnamese Rangers of the Republic of Vietnam for their kind invitation. I also want to express my gratitude to everyone involved in organising this culture-rich event.
