On 19 July 2025, I had the honour and privilege of representing Chris Minns, the Premier of New South Wales, at the 52nd Anniversary Memorial Event for the legendary Bruce Lee, held in Kogarah. It was a deeply meaningful occasion that brought together members of the martial arts community, Bruce Lee fans, and cultural advocates to celebrate the enduring legacy of a global icon. Bruce Lee was more than just a martial artist or film star, he was a philosopher, a bridge between cultures, and a symbol of strength, discipline, and perseverance. His influence continues to resonate across generations and communities around the world, including here in Australia. I would like to sincerely thank Mr. Ben Wang, Master Sam Luo, and the World Dragon Fans Club Australia for their kind invitation and for organising such a respectful and inspiring tribute. Their commitment to preserving Bruce Lee's legacy and promoting cultural understanding through martial arts is commendable. It was a privilege to be part of an event that honours Bruce Lee's remarkable contributions and also celebrated the unity and shared values within our multicultural society.
