On 24 November 2024, I had a fantastic time celebrating the 30th Year Anniversary of Asian Women at Work at Marrickville Town Hall. Reaching this milestone reflects three decades of dedication to empowering migrant and refugee women through advocacy, support, and community programs. Asian Women at Work is a vital network of over 2,000 migrant women workers in low-paid and precarious employment. For 30 years, it has empowered women to stand up, speak out, and take collective action to advocate for their rights. Through education, support, and advocacy, the organisation has played a crucial role in ending workplace and domestic exploitation, securing fair employment opportunities and conditions for all. I congratulate the organisation on this remarkable achievement and sincerely thank Coordinator Ms Ronnie Wang and Ms Bich Thuy Pham for their invaluable leadership and dedication. I also extend my appreciation to all the volunteers for their outstanding contributions. I look forward to continuing our collaboration and seeing Asian Women at Work expand its impact in the years ahead.
