On 11 November 2023 at the eleventh hour, I had the honour of participating in the Remembrance Day commemoration service at Cabra-Vale Diggers Club. This year marked a departure from the norm, as most of the program was expertly conducted by local high school students. Their remarkable contributions, spanning from heartfelt speeches to soul-stirring music, left a lasting impression. I extend my sincere gratitude to the club president, Mr Walter Robinson, all the directors and the group general manager, Mr Michael Foulkes, for extending the gracious invitation. The event honoured the memory of those who served for our freedom today. It also showcased the remarkable talents and dedication of local youth. As the program drew to a close, I was deeply honoured to be bestowed with a badge as patron of the club. It was a humbling experience, and I look forward to contributing to the club's continued success and meaningful contributions to the community.
